January 6

We had a good visit to Disney World as we prepare to leave the country on our round the world trip.  Cheryl and the girls were more interested in this diversion while I have been eager to start our round the world trip in earnest.  Having said this, I did enjoy our stay here and it has been good to be on the road, but not yet out of the country, since I am still learning how to travel with this notebook computer.  Also, we had a unfinished business related to Cheryl's work and trip logistics..

Unfortunately, Cheryl was sick our first day and stayed at the hotel while Lauren, Katie and I went to the MGM amusement park.  We had a good day and the crowds were not so bad.  We met Cheryl for dinner.

The second day we visited Epcot.  We had a great day there and the weather was nice.  It was fun visiting pavilions of countries that we plan to visit.  The Mission to Mars ride was a blast, although Lauren felt sick afterward.

The third day we went to the "Magic Kingdom," which is just like Disneyland in California.  It was fun too, though more oriented toward younger kids.  We had dinner at a “character buffet” and got to meet Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore.

The last day, I took the girls to Kennedy Space Center while Cheryl spent the day at a local Kinko’s working on stuff as I mentioned.  We got a late start and didn’t get to Kennedy until early afternoon.  It turns out we could have spent two days there.  I enjoyed it, but we were all tired, and the girls were dragging.  We will have to go back some day.

Cheryl was able to get us back on the flight from Lima to Rio for the 10th.
